Upcoming Electronic Cars in India
Several manufacturers from homegrown mahindra to the world famous Tesla will soon bring electric cars to market.
The EV market is warming up in India . Automakers are gearing up to bring new all-electric models to market Tesla will first launch the model 3 followed by the other cars from their global portfolio.
Mahindra showcased the eKUV at the 2020 Auto Expo.
Recently ,Mahindra was spotted testing the eKUV ,out on public roads.
When it goes on sale , it will be the most affordable electric vehicle in India .The car will have a range of about 145 km per charge .
Based on the standard XUV300,Mahindra will also launch an EV to take on the TATA Nexon EV
Next , let's look at Tata Motors .Based on the Tigor EV ,Tata will launch the Tiago EV for the Indian market with a similar battery pack and range .
The Altroz,that is based on the ALFA plateform will be electrified too
Tata has already showcased the concept Altroz EV and the production variant is likely to debut next year.
The Altroz EV concept shows futuristic features that are unlikely to make it to the production version .
French automaker Renault,will bring the Kwid EV to the Indian market as a city car.
This tiny hatchback ,is already available in China as City K-ZE where it gets a range of 271 km per full charge.
Renault is also considering the much revered Zoe EV for India.
The Zoe is based on the Nissan Leaf EV and has a range of 390 km.
We can't forget Hyundai in this EV race ,can we?The Kona EV has received a facelift overseas
Since it is a CBU in India ,Hyundai will soon bring this updated model to India as well.
MG recently Launched the Astor,which is the facelifted version of the ZS EV
A refreshed version of the ZS EV will also go on sale soon.
Ford will only sell CBU products in the Indian market post their recent exit from the country .The Mach -E will be part of that strategy.
The Mustang Mach -E is currently sold with two different battery packs overseas ,which offer a driving range of anywhere between 370 km and 483 km , respectively .This conslaught of EVs is definitely going to heat up the Indian automotive scene soon and is worth waiting for.
